On July 7th 2009 Teresa Evans became a Link in the Eastern Shore (NY). During her tenure as a Link she has served as Recording Secretary, Parliamentarian, Arts Facet Chair, Resource Development Chair, Ethics Chair, ByLaws Chair and have served on the Strategic Planning Committee and Organizational Effectiveness and Membership committees. She is currently Vice President Elect.
Teresa is the Vice President and Head of Human Resources at the United Way of NYC and hold a SHRM-SCP designation. She received her undergraduate degree at Fisk University in Health Care Administration and Planning and a certificate in Health Care and Administration and Planning from Meharry Medical College. Additionally she holds a graduate degree at Adelphi University in Money Banking and Finance and most recently completed a Fellowship at United Way Worldwide.
Teresa co-chaired the Annual Long Island Go Red for Red Luncheon twice serving as the Stroke Champion positioning the American Heart Association as a strategic partner in wellness. She also sits on the Board of Eagle Academy, the Presidents Strategic Council of Adelphi University and Adelphi’s Council for Nonprofit Leadership. She has served as Co-chair of the SUNY Farmingdale Diversity Summit and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
